Henri Jerratsch is an upcoming drummer, sideman and bandleader born and raised in northern Germany.
Working with a lot of rhythm and blues, soul and jazz artists all over Europe his jazz studies at the University of Osnabrück lead him to study at the University of New Orleans in 2022.
Always inspired by the roots of Black American Music, Jerratsch felt he needed to learn more about the heartbeat, soul and reality of the music he has been playing with Europeans. Seeing and hearing Herlin Riley, Jason Marsalis, Shannon Powell, Johnny Vidacovich, Raymond Webber, Kerry "Fats” Hunter and so many more, night after night made him understand the music on a different level.
